Good morning and welcome back to a new Tech Tip Tuesday. Today’s Tech Tip will be about the start menu on Windows 11.

  • How to access the start menu?

  • How to group the apps together?

  • How to delete folders?

  • How to make the recommended action bigger or smaller?

  • How to see all of your apps in alphabetical order

  • How to search for an app?

First, we are going to talk about how to access the start menu. To access the start menu login to your computer.>Next, on any screen go down to your taskbar then, click on the Windows logo or click on the Windows icon on your keyboard.

Next, we’ll talk about how to organize your app in the start menu. First, open the start menu.>Next, drag one app over the app that you want to group together. To rename the folder that you just created click on the folder.>Next, at the top of the folder click the text that says “Edit Name. You have successfully created your very first folder on Windows 11.

Now we are going to talk about how to delete folders from the start menu. First, open the start menu.>Next, open the folder you want to delete.>Finally, drag every app out of the folder. Once every app is out the folder will disappear.

Now we’re going to talk about how to make your recommended area of the start menu bigger or smaller. First, open the settings on your computer.>Next, go to personalization.>Now, scroll down and click on Start.>Next, under the layout, there should be 3 different options. To Make the recommendation bigger click on more recommendations. To make there more apps select more pins.

Next, we will talk about how to search the apps in alphabetical order. First, open the start menu.>Next, click on all apps in the top right on the start menu.

Finally, we are on the last thing that we will go over in today’s Tech Tip. To search the device for the apps, files, apps, and settings. First, go to the start menu.> Next, click on the search bar at the very top of the start menu.
