Tech Tip Tuesday (IOS 17) Name-drop Part 1

Better Knowledge Better Service

Tech Tip Tuesday for the next couple weeks will be about IOS 17. These features are only available on IOS 17. IOS stands for iPhone operating system.

Good morning and welcome to a new Tech Tip Tuesday. Today I’m writing this newsletter in Costa Rica. Today’s Tech Tip Tuesday is going about Name-drop. It’s only on IOS 17.

  • What is Name-drop?

  • How to set up Name-drop?

  • How to use Name-drop?

Name-drop is a way for you to exchange contacts. So, you don’t have to say “What’s your number.” It will automatically do it for you. All you have to do is click accept. It’s very secure because someone that you don’t know can’t just go up to you and you have to agree to the transaction.

How do I set up Name-drop? I’m glad you asked. I’m going to show you. First, open the phone app on your iPhone. Then, click the Contacts button in the bottom middle of your screen. Next, click on your name at the top of the screen. Next, click on the edit button at the top right of your screen. Finally, click edit again then follow the prompts to create your contacts post.

Finally, I’m going to tell you how to use a name-drop. To use it just simply tap your phone with another iPhone. Then, click Except on both iPhones that you what to trade Contacts.

This post can be shared with people that are only on iPhones. Whenever you call the post that you created will appear on their screen.
