Tech Tip Tuesday for the next couple weeks will be about IOS 17. These features are only available on IOS 17. IOS stands for iPhone operating system.
Good morning and welcome back to a new Tech Tip Tuesday. Today’s Tech Tip will be talking about check-in for iPhones on IOS 17 only.

How to use Check-In iMessage?
Check-In is a way for you to make sure that your loved one gets to a place safe and sound. This can only be used on IOS 17. You also have to have your iPhone access to your location at all times.
How I’m going to show you how to set up Check-In. First, open iMessage on your phone. Next, select a contact that you want to make sure that they get to their place safely. Then, next to the text bar click on the + icon. Then, click on More. Finally, click on the Check-In icon it’s the 4th one down from the top.
Finally, I’m going to show you how to use Check-In. First, you will get a splash screen that shows you what it does. It will look like this picture.

next, Choose the data you’d like to share if you don’t arrive. You can either choose Limited which Includes current location and details about battery and network signal for the iPhone and Apple Watch. Then, Full Includes all data from Limited plus route traveled and location of last iPhone unlock and Apple Watch removal. Finally, They receive this pop-up before they proceed to send the Check-In.
