Good morning and welcome back to a new Tech Tip Tuesday. Today’s tip will focus on how to freeze panes in Microsoft Excel. Next week, we will discuss how to freeze panes on Google Sheets. Let’s begin with;

  • How do freezing panes help you with workflow?

  • How to freeze panes in Microsoft Excel?

First, I’m going to talk about how freezing panes can help you with your workflow. Freezing panes can make the title of your rows visible at all times making it easier to read without scrolling up.

Now, I’m going to show how to freeze the panes in place. First, open Microsoft Excel. Next, create a blank workbook. Now, on the ribbon click on the tab that says “View”. Finally, look for the freeze panes option. Now you can freeze any pane that you want to by clicking the “Freeze Pane” option.
